Chairman Regmi in Palpa

Tansen, Dec. 11:  Chairman of the Council of Ministers Khil Raj Regmi has come to Palpa today in connection with attending a few prescheduled programmes.

He is scheduled to declare Tansen Municipality as Fully Literate Town and to inaugurate the Eighth Anniversary Programme of the Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital.

Chief District Officer Shivaraj Joshi said Chairman Regmi will attend the programme for declaring Tansen Municipality as a fully literate town at 9 this morning.

The District Education Office, Palpa has claimed that 99.98 per cent of the total population of Tansen Municipality is literate. The population of the town according to the census conducted in 2011 is 29 thousand 95 and of this 29 thousand 90 people living in the municipality are literate.

Chairman Regmi is scheduled to inaugurate the in-patient section and the neonatal intensive care unit of the paediatric department at the Lumbini Medical College and Teaching Hospital at local Prabas.

This is the second tim,e that Chairman Regmi is visiting his home district after his appointment to the high post. RSS
