Dhangadhi, Dec. 25: A mentally disturbed youth threw acid to a girl in Kailali for refusing his proposal for marriage. She was injured in the incident.
The incident occurred on December 9 has come to public notice when the victim side lodged a complaint at the police office on last Sunday lately, said DSP Ramesh Pandit. Rabindra Thagunna, 23, of Geta VDC-4 had thrown acid to the body of 11th grader nineteen-year-old girl while she was on the way to school.
The local girld had sustained serious injuries to her neck and face. She is undergoing treatment in Kathmandu. Police arrested the convict, who was at large after the incident, from Kathmandu. Action against the culprit is underway, Pandit added. RSS
