Ratnanagar (Chitwan), Oct. 14: Incessant rainfall since Sunday has affected celebrations of Badha Dashain this year across the country including Chitwan.
The Dashain revelers who were having a gala time until the morning of Mahanawami were taken by surprise by the sudden downpour along with a change in the weather.
And today on the occasion of Tika, many people who travel to their elders for receiving Tika and blessings have been affected the most as a result of the continuous rainfall.
“I have to ride my bike to Madi from Bharatpur but this rain has certainly caused some concern”, says local Krishna Poudel. Chitwan has experienced continued rainfall since the past two days. And this is said to be the impact of the Phailin cyclone that has hit Orissa state of India, according to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology. The Department has forecasted rainfall until tomorrow. RSS
