Bhaktapur, Nov 7: Minister for Industry Mahesh Basnet blamed the 22-party alliance for inviting conflict and anarchy in the country.

He accused the alliance with a reference to the parties’ stance on the ethnicity-based federalism.

Speaking in the second general assembly of Bhaktapur Party Palace and Catering Association in Bhaktapur today, Minister Basnet opined that the CPN (Maoist) Chairman-led alliance was hindering the constitution making process.

He was of the opinion that the concept of seven federal states, proposed by Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) in unison, would further consolidate peace, prosperity and national integrity.

Minister Basnet, asserting himself as pro-entrepreneur, expressed his concern over inconvenience caused by the government in the name of the Social Reform Bill

Similarly, echoing Basnet, Prithivi Bhakta Prajapati, the Chairman of the Association, said that the government, in the name of the Social Reform Bill should not create any problem to the business ventures as catering that has been providing employment to thousands of youth and also contributing to state revenue.
