Khotang, Nov. 2: Six persons have been injured in a jeep accident occurred at Sallaghari of Nunthala VDC-9 in Khotang district this morning. The jeep (Ko 1 Cha 6036) was heading towards Jayaramghat from Diktel.
Among six persons injured in the accident, three were in serious condition. Those injured in the incident were driver Prakash Adhikari, 19, of Badahare-6; helper Nawaraj BK, 15, from Mangaltar-1; Pavitra Rai, 20, and Laxmi Maya Rai, 65, from Bamrang-5 of Khotang and Pradip Sunuwar from Okhaldhunga-2, and Khur Bahadur Katwal, 36, from Bardibas of Mahottari district.
Among those, Khur Bahadur, Laxmi Maya and Pavitra were injured seriously. They have been airlifted to Kathmandu from District Hospital Diktel for further treatment. The accident occurred after a tire dislodged all of a sudden, said Police Inspector Durga Regmi, adding that the jeep fell 40 meters down from the road and got buttressed by a tree in steep. RSS
