Commissioner Yadav focuses fear-free atmosphere for Election

Biratnagar, Oct. 26: Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhi Prasad Yadav has urged all to bring voters to the polling centres in a fear-free and peaceful atmosphere.

Inaugurating the ‘CA member vote count regional training of trainers’ here today, Commissioner Dr Yadav said as both national and international communities would observe whether the election was held in free and fair atmosphere all concerned bodies need to act fairly and responsibly.

The evaluation of election works is linked to the success of election, he said, urging the election officer, and voting and chief election officers to devote to make the CA election successful.

According to Election Commissioner Dr Yadav, the CA election would open up avenues for socio-economic and cultural developments in the country, so the political parties and civil society need to extend full support to the election process.

On the occasion, Joint Secretary at the Election Commission, Suresh Adhikari, said the Commission had organized the training to manage safe voting and ensure voter’s rights. He further said the Commission was organizing such training at 10 different parts of the country. Mr Adhikari urged the concerned officers to utilize the knowledge and skills gained during the training.

On the occasion, Chief Election Officer of Morang, Shekhar Poudel, Chief District Officer Ganesh Raj Karki and District Election Officer Jhanka Nath Poudel said the preparations to the election had reached the final phase in district.

The two-day training has the participation of 22 election officers, voting officer, chief election officers and chief district officers from six districts of the Koshi Zone. RSS
