Syangja, Sept. 30: The District Police Office has arrested Dhruba Raj Dhungana, a former clerk at the District Land Revenue Office, on the charge of corruption on Sunday.
The District Court had sentenced him to two years in jail but had been absconding since then. The court had convicted Dhungana in malpractice in a land transaction. Police arrested him and sent to jail on Sunday.
Likewise, police have arrested absconding convict Bishnu Bahadur Shrestha of Dahathum VDC-9, in the district on Sunday and sent him to jail. The Appelate Court, Pokhara had sentenced him to one year imprisonment on the charge of murder but was absconding for a long time. RSS
