Kathmandu, Dec. 12: The central committee members of the CPN-Maoist have drawn attention of the party leadership to chart out programs to take to the street as objective situation has been prepared for a popular revolt.

The central leaders and advisors made such remarks in the party’s central committee meeting while commenting on the political proposal tabled by the party Chairman Mohan Baidhya ‘Kiran’.

The leaders have said that the party should not join the constituent assembly (CA) through the Council of Ministers’ nomination as the CA has gone in the hands of the status quo forces.

The CPN-Maoist leaders further suggested the party leadership to forge a broader alliance of nationalist and pro-federalists forces and end the anarchic situation in the party.

Most of the leaders have urged the party leadership to come up with programs for struggle by throwing their weight to the report of the party Chairman.

In his political report, Chairman Baidhya has proposed for a popular revolt on the foundation of the people’s war as the party’s directive and drafting a constitution through an all-party conference by dissolving the CA.

CPN-Maoist politburo member Hari Bhakta Kandel said that over 80 leaders expressed their views in the ongoing central committee meeting.

He said that the meeting is expected to conclude on Saturday by approving the party Chairman’s report along with amendment. RSS
