Kathmandu, Dec. 10: The Disciplinary Committee of the Nepali Congress has begun scrutinizing the complaints lodged by party cadres and leaders about the betrayal and infighting during the recent Constituent Assembly elections.

The meeting of the Committee began reviewing the complaints on Tuesday. Committee Coordinator Amod Prasad Upadhyay said the discussion focused on the complaints lodged against the party leaders who betrayed, acted against the party interest and help rout the election candidate.

“A preliminary discussion began after the complaints were sorted out. We will take a decision after finding faults and establishing proof,” he added.

The Committee had sought complaints three days ago and would continue to receive the same for two more weeks. It would not entertain the complaints lodged after the deadline.

More number of complaints was lodged against the candidates for the proportional quota than the first-past-the-post ones. The parliamentary committee of the party was informed that as many as 28 complaints were lodged against the PR candidates. RSS
