Unidentified group attacks NC cadres in Tanahun

Tanahun, Nov. 18: An unidentified group attacked Nepali Congress workers  including President of the Bhirkot Village Working Committee, Tun Bahadur Nepali and made them critically injured on Sunday.

The group comprising five masked men attacked the team of NC cadres including Nepali, Bhojraj Ranabhat and Bharat Kafle of Bhirkot-1 at the Chainpur jungle of Kanhu Shivapur VDC, according to the Bhirkot Police Post.

The incident took place when they were returning to village on two motorcycles from a mass gathering of NC held at Damauli on Saturday.

Of the injured, condition of Nepali is critical, said police. Nepali has received injuries on head, hands, and legs and condition of the two injured is normal.

The attackers also vandalized the motorcycle (Ga 4 Pa 4959) and threw it from a cliff.  The injured Nepali has been sent to Pokhara for further treatment. Search for the attackers is underway, added police. RSS
