Organisation Formed To Discourage Banda, Strikes

Kathmandu, Nov. 7: Sarokar   Manch, a social organisation has been formed to discourage the culture of banda and strikes by making the people aware of their negative outcomes.

A gathering of social workers here today decided to form the organisation.

Political parties in Nepal and their sister wings announce bandas and strikes at any time to get their demands  fulfilled which causes negative impact on the country’s economy and people’s daily life and jeopardise social harmony and the organisation  is for fighting against such culture, according to its president Nirmal Thapa.

The organisation has an 11-member working committee.

It has its central office at Ward No. 10, New Baneshwor in Kathmandu and will launch a nationwide campaign against bandas and strikes soon, President Thapa said. RSS
