Bhadrapur, Nov. 7: The ‘Citizen’s Campaign for Healthy Election’ organised a news conference and made public a report on incidents of violations of the election code of conduct by monitoring seven constituencies in Jhapa district.

On the occasion, pictures regarding violation of the code of conduct including use of flex and banners, pasting posters at public places and electric poles, organising Deusi-Bhailo using election symbol, using children in rallies and mass gatherings, using colourful posters, among others by political parties were exhibited.

The organisation had carried out monitoring of violation of the code of conduct from November 2-4. Bishnu Kharel of the campaign and Laxmi Niroula of INSEC said that it was the responsibility of political parties to follow the election code of conduct to hold election to the Constituent Assembly (CA) in a free and fearless manner.

They also drew the attention on the EC’s responsibility to monitor and make them abide by the code of conduct. RSS
