Helicopter used to transport election materials

Election materials essential for the November 19 CA elections have been transported by a helicopter in Bajhang district.

The transportation via air had to be made in consideration of the problem of land transport facility and in view of the law and order, said Chief Election Officer Ramesh Prasad Gyawali.

The helicopter has been used to ferry election materials to Bajhang, Bajura and Baitedi districts.

The election materials including ballot paper, voter’s list, ballot box, swastika stamp and ink will be transported to the polling centres from November 11, Gyawali said. The employee selection and security management has also reached the final phase.

The only thing that is yet to arrive from the Election Commission in Kathmandu is the identity card of the voters in the biometric list. RSS
