Gajuri, Dhading, Oct. 17: Buddhists of northern Dhading district have started to give attention on collective fast and meditation against animal sacrifice done in various times.
In this connection, a Nyugne fast is organised at Dabajong Buddsit Monastery at Tikadung of Semjong- 6 and 7.
Local 41 people as well as Lamas and 11 Jyomos led by Chairman of the Monastery Management Committee Ammar Bahadur Pakhrin and Chief Lama of the Monastery Jaga Bahadur Lama are on the collective Nyugne fast, said Bijay Pakhrin from Tikadung.
All sins will be cleansed if the fast is undertaken if any animal sacrifice is done in ignorance in festival and other times, the Buddhist followers believe. RSS
