Nepal loses in final match in afc u-19

Kathmandu, Oct. 11: Nepal has been defeated in the final match of the qualifying match under of the AFC under-19 football competition.In the match played last night in Al Arabi stadium of Doha, Nepal lost with 0-2 from host Qatar in the final game of the qualifying round and exited from the competition.

Nepal could not win even one match of the four played. Earlier, Nepal lost to Turkmenistan 1-2, with India 0-1 and with Uzbekistan 0-5.           Although Nepal played equal with Qatar until first half, Qatar overpowered Nepal and made a goal in the 57 th minute and another at 72 th minute.  Nepal was ten-man after Anil Gurung received a red card.  The best six teams of the forty nation sports event’s winners and runners up of each of the ten groups and organizer will play in final in Myanmar in 2014.
