Kathmandu, Oct. 11: Spokesperson of the CPN-Maoist Pampha Bhusal has said her party would boycott the Constituent Assembly (CA) election announced for November 19 as it is intended for ”jeopardizing national integrity, communal harmony and disturbing peace in the country by keeping the patriotic forces aside”.

Taking part in a face-to-face programme organised by Media International here today, she said the party would launch people’s movement against the foreign interference but not go for people’ revolt or people’s war.

The national armies will be mobilised when there is civil war in the country or in defense from foreign attacks, but in Nepal, the armies are going to be used for the election purpose,” said the spokesperson of poll-opposing CPN-Maoist.

The party has still the policy of joining the election if consensus is possible to that end, she said, adding it was just an apolitical remark to presume that the CPN-Maoist  would not take part in the election no matter its demands are addressed. RSS
