Kathmandu, Oct. 11: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that Constituent Assembly (CA) polls was the agenda of the UCPN (Maoist) and other political parties were following the same footstep.

At a greetings exchange programme organized by the Kathmandu-Solukhumbu Federal Republican Forum in the capital on Thursday, the UCPN (Maoist) Chairman said that the political party with real agenda should get a comfortable majority in the CA polls.

He said that the CA polls scheduled for November 19 was possible only due to the sacrifices of the UCPN (Maoist).

Saying that there was no option to the CA election to empower the people, Dahal said that a pro-people constitution would be written if the progressive forces achieve two-thirds majority and the country would move ahead on the track of economic prosperity.

He also directed the party leaders to visit the voters at their doorsteps and apologize for the mistakes if the party had made any in the past.

Also speaking at the programme, UCPN (Maoist) central leader Lucky Sherpa said that people from all indigenous and marginalized communities should create a poll vibe in favor of the UCPN (Maoist).

Likewise, Maoist leaders Bal Krishna Dhungel and Raj Kumar Sharma said that the bases were prepared to get a clear majority in the upcoming election for carrying on pro-people agendas. RSS
