Kathmandu, Oct. 9: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Gaurav Shumsher JB Rana scheduled visit to the United States of America (USA) has been cancelled, the Public Relations Directorate of the Nepal Army said in a press statement on Wednesday.
Rana was scheduled to visit the US at the invitation of United States Commander of Pacific Regional Command (US PACOM) Admiral Samuel J Locklear, III to attend the 16th Annual Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) Conference to be held in Honolulu, Hawaii, from 21 to 24 October.
Meanwhile, UN Resident Coordinator in Nepal Jamie Mc Goldrick called on CoAS Rrana on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the two discussed the roles and contribution of the Nepal Army personnel on humanitarian assistance and disaster response. RSS
