Jajarkot, Oct.7: One person was killed and another seriously injured in a motorcycle accident at Maintada, Surkhet on Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Manbir Pun, 55, of Punma-3. Injured Krishna Bahadur Thapa of the same locality is a Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) candidate from Jajarkot Constituency No. 1 for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election.
The incident took place when they were going to Nepalgunj from the Jajarkot district headquarters Khalanga on a motorcycle ( Bhe 3 Pa 8973), police said.
Thapa has been taken to Nepalgunj for treatment and his condition is critical, Police Inspector Dharmendra Shah said. RSS
