Kathmandu, Oct. 6: Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal President Kamal Thapa has urged voters to help ensure victory of his party in the November 19 elections to the Constituent Assembly.

Speaking at a face-to-face programme organized in the capital on Sunday, Mr Thapa claimed that his party would win a two-third majority in the first-past-the-post and a majority in the proportionate representation system of the election.

“RPP Nepal needs to win with an absolute majority in order to ensure a constitution as per the people’s aspiration”, he said.

He also expressed the possibility of reviving the monarchy through the upcoming CA election.

Stating that the party was in favour of local self-governance in place of federalism, Mr Thapa said his party would go to the voters with a call for establishing a Hindu State with full religious freedom and democracy along with monarchy. RSS
