S. Korean president arrives in Indonesia for APEC meeting, state visit

BALI, Indonesia, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) — South Korean President Park Geun-Hye arrived in here Sunday afternoon for the 21st APEC summit and state visit to Indonesia.Park will address the ongoing CEO Summit in the afternoon, at which participating leaders and business delegates from the Asia- Pacific region are seeking solutions for sustainable development in the midst of a weak economic recovery.

On Monday morning, she will attend the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) meeting and have discussions with other leaders on issues of common concern to business leaders in the Asia-Pacific region.
At the first session of the leaders’ meeting on Monday afternoon, the South Korean president will present on the topic of APEC’s role in enhancing the multilateral trading system.

The president is scheduled to engage in a dialogue with other Pacific Rim leaders Tuesday on maintaining sustainable growth and enhancing connectivity before issuing the Leaders’ declaration which winds up the meeting.
Park’s state visit to Indonesia runs from Oct. 10 to 12.
