BALLOT PAPER PRINTING BEGINS

Bhaktapur, Oct. 5: The printing of ballot papers for the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election has started from Saturday.

The Janak Education Materials Center (JEMC), Sanothimi Bhaktapur has begun the printing of ballot papers amidst special security, according to Center General Manager Anil Kumar Jha.

No other persons except the essential staff are allowed to enter the JEMC until the printing task is over, he added. A squad comprising police officers is guarding the center from outside whereas the Nepal Army officers’ team has been mobilized inside the center.

Main responsibility of providing security is given to the NA. The printing task is expected to be over within November 8. The JEMC is asked to print 30 million ballot papers for the second CA election announced for November 19.

Closed-circuit television cameras have been installed in and around the center.  The JEMC has deputed 350 employees for the printing task. RSS
