Bhadrapur, Oct. 3: The Nepal Food Corporation (NFC) Mechi Zone Office, Birtamod has enough stock of food grains and it has supplied the food grains to different mountainous and remote districts.
The office stated that it has supplied 792 quintals rice grains to Taplejung over the last two months. There is a stock of 740 quintals rice grains at the office’s godown, said Markandeya Prasad Jaiswal, Chief of the NFC Mechi Zone Office.
An annual quota of 2,200 quintals of rice grain has been determined for Taplejung district. Jaiswal said the office would send additional food grains if it was required.
Besides supplying food grains to Taplejung, the NFC Mechi Zone Office also supplies to the prisons at Chandragadhi and Ilam. The Chandragadhi prison has purchased 381 quintals rice grain and he Ilam Prison 160 quintals from the NFC Mechi Zone depot in the last two months. RSS
