Kathmandu, Nov 11: The Nepal Rastriya Dalit Mukti Morcha has objected to the common proposal on state restructuring brought by the ruling coalition partners the Nepali Congress and the CPN (UML).
The Morcha took exception to the proposal saying it was in contravention of the spirit of inclusiveness and the proportional system.
The proposal blurs the provision of Article 21 of the constitution where the rights of the dalit were mentioned, said Morcha chairman Tilak Pariyar.
A press release issued by the Morcha states that the dalit communities could not be uplifted unless they were included in every part of the society with special provisions as they were marginalized since long due to the discriminatory policy of the state.
Chair Pariyar has pointed out the need of taking ahead the dalit movement unless they get fully proportional election system and assured their representation in every bodies of the state.
