Nepalgunj, Nov. 11: President of the Nepali Congress, Sushil Koirala, has said the new constitution would be written under the NC leadership following the Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

Addressing an election gathering of NC at Indrapur VDC of Banke district today, he said, “Nepali people are in favour of democracy so they will elect NC with majority in the election.”

Koirala, who is also the candidate of the first-past-the-post election system in Constituency No. 3 in Banke district, said the first Constituent Assembly (CA) failed to promulgate constitution because of the attitude of few parties in the dissolved CA. Nepali people have understood this and that they will vote to our party, he said.

Koirala urged to trust only a party leader among those who give assurances judging whether they are right or wrong.

The real and meaningful democratic system is that which gives importance to people’s voting rights, he said.

He also stressed on the need of establishing NC as the first political party of the country. RSS
