Khajura (Banke), Oct. 2: The Nepali workers in India have begun returning home for the celebration of the Tihar festival and to participate in the Constituent Assembly election.

Hundreds of Nepalis are entering Nepal from Jamunaha, a main entry in the mid-western region of Nepal on a daily basis. Those coming to home are from Jajarkot, Surkhet, Salyan, Dailekh, Rukum, Rolpa and Jumla districts.

They said they had returned home for the celebration of the Tihar and participation in the November 19 elections. “I am wondering what I feel while casting votes. It is my first time,” said Khagendra BK, a resident from Jaktipur-9 of Jajarkot district.

Similarly, Hira Lal Tamata from Bhur-5 of the same district said, “Although we had planned to return a bit later, political leaders phoned us to return and participate in the election. So, we returned home early.”

According to him, there are 110 persons in his group to return home alone. RSS
