CANDIDATES YET TO REACH THEIR CONSTITUENCy IN SOLUKHUMBU

Solukhumbu, Nov. 1: Candidates of various political parties are busy in door-to-door election campaign for asking for votes in the district.

It is heard that some leaders have reached in their constituency by chartering a helicopter but the candidates in the district have reached their constituency on foot.

Each and every village are not linked with road network in this hilly district, therefore, the candidates are unable to reach all the villages till date. The district has 34 VDCs and only one constituency.

Moreover, the candidate of the Nepali Congress has not reached Namche and Khumjung VDCs due to hectic schedule and limited time frame, said Chandra Prasad Acharya, coordinator of the Publicity Committee of the party.

Likewise, candidate of UCPN (Maoist) has not reached all the villages due to limited time frame, and lack of transportation facility, said Election Publicity Coordinator at the party Sagar Kiranti.

Like this, CPN (UML) has not reached all the villages for publicity and local cadres were assigned in the village where the candidates could not reach for publicity campaign.

Election gathering has been organized in the centre of different places, said Buddhi Kumar Rajbhandari, candidate of the party under the proportional system. Likewise, the Federal Socialist Party is also unable to reach all the villages. RSS
