Conference on Nepal Language and Literature Concludes

Bhaktapur, Oct. 18: The 33rd conference of Nepal Language and Literature Tamujya concluded on Thursday evening.

The conference, organized with the objective of promoting progressive literature and culture, kicked off with the slogan of ‘Language thrives with the survival of the people’.

On the occasion, literary figures coming from different parts fo the country had recited poem, story and prose in various languages.

The best performers in various genres while reciting their literary writings were honoured with awards.

At the programme, Chairperson of Nepal Workers Peasants Party Narayan Man Bijukchhe, Secretary Sunil Prajapati, linguist Rampati Raj Sharma, senior advocate Sindhunath Pyakurel and senior journalist Bhairab Risal, among others, shed light on the importance of various languages and literatures.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson Bijukchhe stressed that the state should pay attention for the preservation of different languages and literatures considering Nepal’s richness in the diversity of languages.

He felicitated cultural preachers, Maheswordas Kaji and Sitaram Hora.         Meanwhile, the 52nd conference on Nepal language and literature organized in Bhaktapur concluded on Thursday evening. RSS
