BSc in Fishery on the card

Chitwan, Oct. 18: The Agriculture and Forest Science University is set to launch Bachelor’s Degree in Fishery Science from this year.

The University has started teaching new courses after developing curriculums of different subjects despite the Tribhuvan University (TU);s delay in handing over the ownership.

The Agriculture University is running classes from Bachelor’s Degree to Doctorate level education in different faculties, said University Registrar Dr Surya Kanta Ghimire.

He further said that the University has launched a new course on B.Sc in Fishery for producing competent human resource in the field with growing attraction towards fish-keeping enterprises.

Some 15 students will be taught in Fishery Science at Bachelor’s level, first of its kind in Nepal. Application has been solicited from the students passing Proficiency Certificate Level in Science and the Bachelor’s Degree classes will be operating from this educational session.

The University is also mulling to run Master’s Degree and Doctorate level education in Fishery Science in near future. RSS
