Taplejung, Oct. 28: The death toll in the road accident that took place involving a passenger jeep in Dhuseni of Dokhu VDC, Taplejung has reached eight.
Of the deceased only the jeep owner Khagendra Shrestha and driver Shyam Ijam have been identified, according to DSP at the District Police Office Govinda Prasad Acharya.
Helper Nima Sherpa and six others, who were injured in the accident, are undergoing treatment at the District Hospital, Taplejung.
The jeep (Me1Ja1437) was heading towards Taplejung from Paanchthar when the accident took place on the Mechi highway. The jeep reportedly fell some 500 meters below the road, according to police. RSS
