Top leaders to debate on economic issues

Kathmandu, Oct. 27: In a bid to concentrate the top leaders of the major political parties on key economic issues, the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) is going to conduct a national debate programme on Wednesday.

FNCCI President Suraj Vaidhya said that the national debate programme is being organized to pile pressure on top leaders to make the economic issues as the parties’ major priority and implement the agendas in practice.

Vaidhya said that the political parties are gradually focusing on economic issues while looking at their election manifestos.

He said the debate is expected to make the parties more responsible and accountable to the people.

Top leaders of the UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN (UML), Madhesi Janadhikar Forum Nepal, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik), Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party, CPN (ML) and Sadbhavana Party are invited for the debate. RSS
