Kathmandu, Oct. 27: The Nepal Byayam Mandir has honoured national players of body building, who have won medals in different competitions, with cash prizes.
At a programme organised here today, Sujan Tamang, gold medal winner of the Fourth Mister Himalaya Body Building Competition in 55 kg category, Shyam Shrestha, gold winner of 70 kg category and Ram Bahadur Dahal, gold medal winner of 65 kg category and Mister Himalaya title winner were honoured.
Similarly, other honoured are Ram Hari Khanal, silver medal winner of 60 kg and Sanjeev Shrestha, silver medal winner of 75 kg. They had won the titles at the Fourth Mister Himalaya Competition organised in Dharan last year.
Likewise, the honoured are Sujan Tamang, gold medal winner of the Second Mister Nepal of 60 kg, Shyam Shrestha, gold medal winner of 65 kg and Sanjeev Shrestha, gold medal winner of 70 kg.
Prabhash KC, silver medal winner and Deepakdhoj Thakuri, bronze medal winner of 77 kg were also honoured. The competition was held in Bhairahawa last year.
Each gold medal winner has got Rs. 10,000, silver medal winners Rs. 7,000 and bronze medal winners Rs. 5,000 as well as letters of appreciation.
Member-Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC), Yubaraj Lama, honoured the players. Honouring the players, Lama said that the state has also adopted a policy to honour players for their accomplishments. RSS
