Deusi-Bhailo to reach out voters

Darchula, Oct. 27: The candidates and cadres of various political parties have reached out to voters in the villages of Darchula through cultural Deusi-Bhailo programme in view of fast-approaching Constituent Assembly (CA) election.

Leaders and cadres of the political parties in the election fray are busy canvassing voters through different means. CPN-UML candidate Ganesh Singh Thagunna said that the Deusi-Bhailo, a cultural programme performed in Far-Western region especially after the Dashain celebrations, will be used to reach out to voters in his constituency.

Unified CPN (Maoist) candidate Lalit Singh Thagunna is in a campaign to reach the doorsteps of voters in Erkot in the northern belt. Of 42 VDCs in the district, 15 are in northern Darchula.

Similarly, Nepali Congress (NC) Spokesperson Dilendra Prasad Badu has heated up his election campaign in district headquarters, Khalanga, and other adjoining areas, which are considered to be his vote banks. Candidates from other small parties are also intensifying their campaigns in the villages.

Dev Bam, a candidate from Akhanda Nepal Party, which has emerged a new political force in the region, is also busy persuading voters with focus on district headquarters and adjacent areas. RSS
