Saptari, Dec. 17: Newly elected Constituent Assembly (CA) member from Saptari Constituency No. 3, Umesh Kumar Yadav, has distributed stationery materials to children belonging to Dalit and backward community in Rajbiraj Municipality on Monday.
CA member of Unifieid CPN (Maoist) Yadav had reached the dalit settlement and interacted with the children and locals. He prodded locals to send their children to school regularly.
On the occasion, CA member Yadav urged locals to maintain basic sanitation and personal hygiene. ‘Social and caste based discrimination will not come to an end until Dalit community people turn literate and maintain personal hygiene,’ he added.
It is learnt that the local people became excited after getting their representative in their own settlement. RSS
