Kathmandu, Dec. 1: Chief Election Commissioner, Neel Kantha Uprety has said Nepal and Thailand had similar religious, social and economic issues which supported strengthening of Nepal-Thailand relationship.
Speaking at a programme organized by Nepal-Thailand Friendship Association here on Sunday, Chief EC Uprety wished the friendly relations existing between the two countries would further strengthen in the days ahead.
He said the nation still had the tasks of institutionalizing democracy, boosting economic agenda and establishing lasting peace.
During the programme, Thai Ambassador to Nepal, Kanthong Unakul, said Nepal-Thailand relations were 54-year-long.
Similarly, Former Nepali Ambassador to Thailand, Janak Bahadur Singh, shared that Thai citizens were fond of Nepali goods. RSS
