Five die in different road accidents

Parasi, Nov. 23: As many as five persons were killed in different road accidents in Nawalparasi on Friday.

Manrupa Chapagain, 81, died after she was knocked down by a bus (Ba 3 Kha 755) at Keureni Bazaar along the East-West Highway on Friday, according to Area Police Office, Kawasoti. Chapagain was crossing the road when the accident took place.

Similarly, two children were killed at Chormara jungle area in Tamsariya VDC after a bus carrying pilgrims on Friday morning met with an accident. Forty-four others were injured in the incident.

The deceased have been identified as three-year-old Man Singh Adhikari and fourteen-year-old Sagar Pun Magar of Nepalgunj of Banke district.

The bus (Na 4 Kha 6368) heading towards Kurintar carrying pilgrims to Manakamana Temple met with the accident at 3:00 am, police said.

Meanwhile, a school girl died on the spot after a bus heading to Sarlahi from Kathmandu met with an accident at Galaudi, Pida VDC of Dhading district, on Friday. One other was injured in the accident.

The deceased has been identified as Anjali Tamang, 12 of Pida VDC-2, according to Area Police Office, Gajuri. Critically injured Anjan Tamang is sent to Kathmandu for treatment.

Likewise, a child was killed after a bus knocked him at Chuha of Kailali district.

Seven-year-old child, Bheshraj Saud, died on the spot after the bus (Na 4 Kha 5449) bound to Chisapani from Dhangadhi knocked him down, said Rajesh Karki, Police Inspector at Area Police Office, Lamki.

Police has taken the bus and its driver under control for necessary action. RSS
