UCPN (Maoist) chairman expresses solidarity to JTCC movement

   Kathmandu, May 21– Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has spoken of the need of spearheading a movement for ending corruption and anomalies which, according to him, are spreading like cancer in the country.

  Former Prime Minister Dahal said this while addressing office-bearers of the Joint Tourism Coordination Committee that is staging a relay hunger strike at the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) premises calling for ending the alleged corruption and irregularities in the board.

  The UCPN (Maoist) chairman also expressed his solidarity to the movement against corruption initiated by JTCC. He also pledged that as the leader of the main opposition party in the parliament, he would raise this issue seriously in the party’s meeting and during discussions with the government.

   Also accompanying chairman Dahal to express solidarity to the JTCC’s protest movement were former vice-chairperson of the Constituent Assembly (CA) Purna Kumari Subedi, UCPN (Maoist) leader Lilamani Pokhrel,  Nepali Congress leader Dhanaraj Gurung and Khadga Basyal.
