
Kathmandu, 12 April – Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal held discussions at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar today.
Prime Minister Koirala’s press aide Prakash Adhikari said Koirala and Dahal discussed country’s recent political situation, appointment of 26 lawmakers from the Council of Ministers, selection of presidents of Constituent Assembly’s thematic committees and constitution writing process.
During the meeting, PM Koirala urged Dahal to play supporting roles to promulgate the constitution within a year as government’s first priority was brining the constitution within a year.
The Prime Minister also stressed that constitution can be issued in the slated time based on consensus, agreement and reconciliation among the political parties.In response, Dahal assured his party’s support in constitution writing.
