Nepalgunj, Feb. 5: Police have arrested two persons along with Corex, a banned cough syrup, in Banke district this morning.
The arrested are Ram Chandra Tharu and Prem Tharu of Rajhena VDC in the district.
Police said that they were arrested along with 36 bottles of the banned drug illegally brought from Rupaidiha Bazaar in India.
The Department of Drug Administration prohibited the import of Corex and Gycodin medicines of the Indian company after drug abusers started to use the medicines as narcotic drug. RSS
