Bhaktapur, 4 Feb – The Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT) is set to stipulate criteria for granting affiliation to the eligible institutions.
The Council is taking this corrective measure to manage the haphazard way of granting affiliation for over the years. There was no scientific assessment as to which technical and vocational training/course is needed where in the past.
Learning lessons from the past, the CTEVT is coming up with standards to provide affiliation as per the need assessment.
CTEVT member-secretary Ramhari Lamichhane said the bid is to grant affiliation based on the need and demand in the area.
Approval will be given to those who meet all stipulated process and requirement after assessing the need of the proposed geographical area, the member-secretary added .
