Kathmandu, Jan. 11: Severe cold was felt today across the country including in the Kathmandu valley due to the change in weather.
The change of weather occurred since Friday night due the influence of the westerly wind and a mass cloud moving in from the Arabian ocean, according to senior meteorologist Shiva Nepal. The weather will start improving from tomorrow.
Districts in the western and far-western regions including Dang, Kaski (Pokhara), and Banke (Nepalgunj) received light rainfall today.
Similarly, high hilly parts in the western and far-western regions are expected to witness snowfall tomorrow. Likewise, these regions will experience light shower this night. According to the Weather Forecasting Division, the minimum temperature in the Kathmandu valley was between 1 to 2 degrees Celsius as of Friday and 4.5 degrees Celsius today as the sky remained overcast.
