FNJ flays attack on Nagarik Chief Editor

Kathmandu, 8 Jan – The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has said it is alarmed by the attack by an unidentified group on Chief Editor of the Nagarik national daily, Prateek Pradhan, on Tuesday evening.

People riding on four motorcycles attacked Pradhan’s car with registration number plate Ba 5 Cha 3959 with sword, metal rods and sticks at Bhimsengola in Baneshwar.

FNJ has condemned the ‘anarchic attack challenging the freedom of the press and expression’ and also demanded that the government bring to book those involved in the attack.

Likewise, the Agricultural Journalists Academy Nepal has also strongly flayed the attack on Pradhan.
