NC expels three for cementing party leader’s defeat in polls

Dhading, Dec. 29: The Nepali Congress, Dhading, has taken disciplinary action against its two Mahasamiti members and district chairman of Nepal Tarun Dal for their key roles to defeat the party’s official candidate in the November 19 Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.

Mahasamiti members Bhim Prasad Dhungana and Dr Rajaram Karki, and chairman of Tarun Dal Gopal Bishwakarma have faced music for their major role to defeat Ramnath Adhikari, party candidate under the first-past-the-post electoral system in Constituency No. 2.

A meeting of the Regional Committee of Constituency No. 2 held recently has expelled all three leaders for six months from the party responsibilities.

President of Regional Committee Binod Timilsina said that the decision has been forwarded to the district working committee and central working committee for approval. RSS
