Kathmandu, Dec. 28: The Unified CPN (Maoist) is set to hold its special organizational general convention next month.
At a regular press meet organized at the party central office, Parisdanda, here on Saturday, UCPN-M’s Spokesperson Agni Prasad Sapkota said that the party is organizing the special convention to determine the organizational structure.
The central committee meeting that is set to take place from Sunday would finalize the date and time of the general convention.
The seventh general convention of the party held in Hetauda last year had set the political working directive of accomplishing capitalist people’s revolution. The party has decided to organize special conclave citing the existing structure is unmanageable.
In a different note, he said the federal democratic republic constitution could be promulgated within a year if the major parties honestly put their efforts together.
He expressed concern over the act of demolishing the party gates constructed by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) in various places including in Jhyaltungdanda in Nawalparasi. RSS
