Meat Shops Monitored in Rasuwa

Rasuwa, Dec. 28: The District Livestock Service Office, Rasuwa, has monitored meat shops in the district.

Senior officer at the Small and Domestic Industry Development Committee, Kalpana Sharma said many meat shops were found unregistered thereby evading tax, so they were directed to get registered within 15 day.

She was one of the members in the monitoring team. The monitoring team directed a dozen of meat shops for separate registrations of the slaughterhouse and shops. Assistant Chief District Officer Gautam Rimal informed media that the monitoring team had veterinarians, journalists and police persons.

According to him, any enterprise run without registration would be sealed. As much as 800 kgs of meat is consumed daily in the district. RSS
