Rajbiraj, Dec. 28: A 60-year-old father and his 16-year-old son died in a fire that broke out at Dharampur VDC of Saptari on Friday night.
Nageswor Shaha and his son Khelananda of Dharampur VDC-4 died in the fire that took place in their shop at Baluwa Chowk of the VDC, police said.
The fire reportedly broke out as Khelananda tried to light a kerosene-fed lamp following a power outage last night. The fire immediately engulfed the shop after it caught the petrol and LP gas put on sale at the shop.
Nageswor, who entered the shop later, to try put out the fire and rescue his son, perished in the fire, Superintendent of Police Dinesh Amatya of District Police Office said. RSS
