CA, new government will be formed soon: Chairman Regmi

Kathmandu, Dec. 25: Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Khilaraj Regmi, has said that the constitution writing process will begin soon with the start of the Constituent Assembly (CA) meeting and the formation of a new government.

“Now, we should invest our skill and labour for development, peace, and socio-economic transformation of the country,” said Chairman Regmi, speaking at the Silver Jubilee Programme of the LRI School in the capital today.

He said people’s expectations of peace and prosperity of the nation have increased a great deal after the successful conclusion of the Constituent Assembly (CA) election on November 19.

Similarly, Chairman Regmi said today’s education system should be focused on producing the human resources that is able to bring social reformation whereby the country could developed as an exemplary place in the world.

Regmi said, “We should be satisfied about the timely progress the education sector of the country has made and move ahead for the further development of the education system. Our efforts should be focused on the social welfare.”

During the programme, Dr. Baburam Pokhrel, Principal of Vinayak Sudha Niketan, put forth his views and said that the private sector has made 32 per cent contribution to the education sector by providing quality education at the school level.

Founder of the school Shivaraj Panta presented the progress report of the school. Panta has provided his property including land worth Rs. 800 million to the government for the development of education.

On the occasion, Chairman Regmi honoured Panta and individuals making contribution to the development of the education sector including lecturer Dr. Dev Kanta Joshi, Umesh Shrestha, Rajesh Khadka, principal Dr. Pokharel and Subas Neupane.

Similarly, teachers, employees, students and social workers contributing to the physical infrastructure and academic development of the school were awarded on the occasion.
