NC CENTRAL BODY LEADERS STRESS ON NATIONAL CONSENSUS

Kathmandu, Dec. 21: Nepali Congress central committee members delivering their views at today’s session of the ongoing central committee meeting stressed the need of forming a government on the basis of national consensus and giving the full shape to a new Constituent Assembly (CA) as soon as possible.

They argued for collaborating with the CPN (UML), the second largest party in a new CA, and taking other parties into confidence.

Central member Jeevan Pariyar suggested the party take leadership in the drafting of a new constitution and forming a new government on the basis of national consensus.

Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Dil Bahadur Gharti, Ramesh, Rijal, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, Iswhori Neupane, Ratna Sila Gurung, Ambika Basnet and Sujata Pariyar were among those putting their views at the meeting. The NC central members shall meet again at 11:00 am tomorrow at the party central office. RSS
