Nepal-India Power Transmission Line in Puswalpur

Janakpurdham, Dec. 20: Nepal Electricity Project Director Gopal Babu Bhattarai on Thursday laid a foundation stone of the construction of 400-KV transmission line tower under Nepal-India Electricity Transmission and Trade Project.

Around 830 transmission line towers will be constructed from Hetauda to Inaruwa via Dhalkebar under the project.Each tower will have the length ranging from 52 to 75 metres.

Total length of the transmission line of the project to be constructed at the cost of Rs 15 billion will be of around 285 metres.

On the occasion, Project Director Bhattarai said the project will help transmit electricity energy between Nepal and India and also contribute to expand industrial setup in different districts of Nepal.

With the completion of under-construction transmission line up to Mujafarfur of India, around 1,200 MW of electricity energy could be transmitted to Nepal, he added. RSS
