Salyan, Dec. 20: Telemedicine service rendered by Salyan District Hospital has been disrupted within three months of its operation.

Increasing load-shedding hours and slow internet caused the disruption of service, it is learnt. With this, patients here are deprived of receiving direct consultation service from Kathmandu-based specialist doctors via video aids, patients complained.

Though the service was highly beneficial to the patients, it could not be operated effectively due to power outage and slow internet, said Dr. Ram Raja Panthi, chief of the District Hospital.

Considering demand of patients, the service is going to be operated through video conversation by uploading new software soon, Dr. Panthi added. RSS
